Simon Pierse RWS
Simon Pierse was born in London in 1956. He trained at the Slade School of Fine Art and taught at the School of Art, Aberystwyth University from 1992 until 2016. He is currently Senior Lecturer Emeritus and now divides his time between Wales and Kent.
Simon was elected an associate member of the Royal Watercolour Society in 2003. He became a full member in 2007 and served as the society’s Vice President between 2009-12. In 2018, Simon was made an honorary member of the Australian Watercolour Institute. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and honorary Keeper of Pictures at the Alpine Club.
